Smethwick. Aqueduct (Steward Aqueduct) over a canal under a motorway bridge. Had to go the long way round as Tipton locks were closed for maintenance. #UKCanals
There seems to be vastly more graffiti here than I remember from previous journeys.

Byōdō-in's ( 平等院) Hōō-dō (鳳凰堂 'Phoenix Hall') was completed in 1053. Once completely surrounded by Aji-ga-ike pond, the stretch of water helped protect the building from fires in 1336 and 1483 that completely destroyed the rest of the temple.

This is "The Iron Foundry" by Grace Oscroft from 1930. Unfortunately, it is believed that this painting no longer exists, but I can't be sure. The foundry was the Bow Foundry which was almost directly behind the Oscroft's home & shop at 212, Bow Road (marked with a red "X") #GraceOscroft
