That is something that happened in my country and let me tell you, the difference it made, the uptick in police violence and utter blind loyalty of the police to the Party made protesting several orders of magnitud more dangerous.

I'm not superstitious, I just see shit coming.

I told people years ago that activism wasn't going to be handled with kid gloves after the pendulum swung, and here we are. Federal forces overriding local law is one thing I had in mind.

Well they've shot at least two people in Chicago so there's that. I believe one was self defense when a vehicle tried to ram them, and the other was during the course of an arrest of a suspect who shot at one of the agents.

Barring just the extrajudicial actions being taken that are absolutely worth protesting against, ICE is creating unsafe conditions within the City of Chicago that are only going to result in increasing hostility from the population.

People aren't going to tolerate four years of this.

I know there's the funny "pigs fighting pigs" meme, but the recklessness of ICE's measures in crowd control (throwing flashbangs out windows at cars next to them in traffic and CS deployments in populated business intersections) to where it also disregards safety of local law is pretty concerning.
