That’s a good term for it. I think feeling emotion at someone else’s creative endeavour helps to combat the feeling that making my own art is a pointless task in a broken world.

I recognise how privileged I am to be able to do this. I can travel, I mostly set my own work hours, and I’m financially comfortable. Good art should be accessible to everyone but that sadly isn’t always the case.

I’ve made a concerted effort to go and see more bands, theatre shows, and exhibitions this year, and it’s had a marked positive impact on my creative motivation.

Some of the best work I’ve ever done was for a project that ticked along for 3 years before being axed. It was such a cool thing and it sucks I’ll never be able to show anyone.

I say campaign, we’re just working our way through the scenarios in ascending order. I haven’t looked at the actual campaign books yet but I’m enjoying the different scenarios a lot.

My partner is pasting me in our Battle of Hoth campaign. We’ve played six scenarios and I’ve won just one.

I thought I’d got victory in the last game, and even uttered the words ‘you’re still winning the campaign though’. That was the curse that felled my poor plastic troops.

Still a great game.

New Waypoints map!

Waypoints is maybe the game I’m most proud of. I genuinely believe it does something different in the roll & write space and love making new stuff for it.

If you like the sound of free form route planning then you should probably check it out.
