You know what I would love -- next year, the Nobel Peace Prize committee does, in fact, award the prize for a successful end to the Gaza war and for the building of a lasting Israel-Arab peace. The facts on the ground support the award. And, then they announce that it is going to ... Jared! :-)

The other, a less cute option: Trade the funding for a prohibition on sending troops into cities. Frankly, I'd pick this one -- let's not do government like "normal" Treat this as the crisis it is ... /fin

I am of two minds about the Democratic tactics on the shutdown. I am convinced that fighting for health care is playing the game as if Trump were normal and just trading votes as politicians always do. But Trump is not normal -- so what should the Democrats demand:
