I’d absolutely go to a tour of The Killers just singing Warren Zevon songs.

Me watching Lily Allen on March 2nd, 2026: “Wait, a *what* palace? I thought I was visiting a dojo.”

How is this city even real?

This is walking through the centre just after 9pm on a Friday night.

Off to a solid start in that respect.

Seemed like it was going to be nearly impossible to get Angelfish tickets — amazingly, their first hometown gig! — but somehow managed.

Good week to be a Hyams guy.

A rock solid day of ticket buying.

Tonight I experienced for the first time in many years the thrill of seeing a finished Stewart Lee show without having seen it in various incomplete incarnations beforehand. Absolutely would recommend – especially with this one. Was even lucky enough to get a bonus Glasgow treat.

“Where was the gig you went to tonight, Ross?”

“Right there.”

The Allan & Allison double act take to the stage one last time to celebrate the inimitable, inspirational Allison Gardner as she retires from her reign as CEO, making @glasgowfilmtheatre.bsky.social and @glasgowfilmfest.bsky.social the most inclusive and community-focused place and event around.

@filmhouseedinburgh.bsky.social When booking LFF tickets I selected the seats I wanted/needed then saw this. Can we just have the seats we booked? I don’t want to have to get there super early for the right seats at every screening.

Cinemas still putting on screenings of The Room 15 years after it was in the zeitgeist is the lamest shit imaginable.

I went to see Tarkovsky’s Nostalgia at the local indie cinema in Sheffield tonight. The guy who put it on kept checking his phone throughout the showing and even took photos of the screen. We had a chat on Instagram…

If you’d given me a thousand years, I don’t think in my wildest dreams I could have concocted something that sounds less appealing than this.

Fantastic time at the recording of @nicolameighan.bsky.social’s A Kick Up the Arts with Barbara Dickson at @standcomedyclub.bsky.social yesterday. Have been on a Barbara Dickson kick since.
If you get a chance to go to the remaining recordings — including with Grant Stott today — absolutely do!

Nia DaCosta speaking honestly but respectfully about her Marvel experience and steadfastly refusing to be drawn too much on 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. Though she promises her vision is crazy in entirely different ways to that of Danny Boyle’s recent instalment. #EIFF25

Overjoyed I did get Oasis tickets because three nights of this *FROM INSIDE MY FLAT* 10 minutes from Murrayfield would have been unbearable otherwise.

Believe the hype about Weapons. The layered structure that starts as a slow burn investigative chiller and then blends in elements of John Wyndham, Roald Dahl, the Brothers Grimm and outright comedy, wrapped in modern horror sensibilities, is sublime in a way you rarely see.

Absolutely raging that I just spotted this autocorrected en plein air to en plain air.

Had no faith in the process of getting last-minute production tickets for Oasis at Murrayfield and, even if I did, I was preparing to get cheap restricted view (or even behind stage) seats. But somehow got the face value standing tickets I wanted in the first place a year ago 🙌
