Upon reflection, whilst many individual performances were poor, I'm now of the opinion that Brighton are a bad matchup for #lufc. We tried to play in a low block with limited intense pressing to avoid giving them too much space (not necessarily unwise), but we struggled. Learn! Onto next week 👊

One thing I really enjoy about this #lufc season is that we are walking into most fixtures as clear underdogs. I think we were quite unlucky in games vs Fulham & Bournemouth (and even Spurs) not to get more points - let's hope we can find some help from Lady Luck at the AMEX today #MOT 💙💛

Tough fixture away at Burnley - the first twenty minutes will be crucial for #lufc to take the sting out of it, frustrate the home crowd, and slowly start controlling the game. Keep the shape as it has been - Harrison is a left winger, he knows the task at hand, and he should start (imo) 💪 #MOT 💙💛

So, It is clear that #lufc will be playing Ampadu at CDM (#6), with Stach further forward on the left, and Tanaka/Longstaff slightly further forward on the right.
Stach is NOT just a CDM. He is a quick, rangy, progressive passer, glides on the ball, and can shoot. Anton Stach is the hybrid #8/10.

I always said that picking Archie at RB ahead of Ayling was a top call that has gone underappreciated amongst fans. I know Ayling had lost a few yards of pace, and Archie was very talented - but that's the sort of call that looks 'easy' or obvious from the outside, but is actually astute. #lufc 💙💛

Any injury to Anton Stach, who is basically our advanced CM/8 right now, will totally derail our season, by the way. We have no CAM, and we don't even have a bonafide backup to play his role in a similar way. #lufc

apologies - Harrison has come in too. So not a body down per se. But he's basically got James & Aaronson on the right, which is far from ideal. Unless he moves Gnonto to the right.

it was literally Operation: Get 3 points from the Opening 3 fixtures = achieved. Then wait for the squad to be finalised & use the international break to recover, clean up tactically etc in preparation for the more targetable fixtures in September. And we haven't lost to Toon yet 👀 #lufc 💙💛

1. Start Gruev (leaving no fit CMs on the bench).
2. Start Piroe at CAM.
3. Start Aaronson at CAM.

Let's get this out there now:
1. I think #lufc will lose today.
2. This is mainly because #nufc have much better players, plus a more cohesive team.
3. Leeds have been unlucky with injuries; missing Ampadu + Tanaka is massive - makes it VERY difficult for any manager to get a tune Vs Toon.
