This sounds pretty cool - the ability to programmatically download any dataset from a DOI is a great feature, and super important for reproducibility.

{galah} has supported this feature for ALA for some time, but we’ll aim to add it for GBIF shortly

⚡ New version of #rgbif has just been released to CRAN!

Version 3.8.2 new features:
🔹occ_download_doi() accepts a GBIF download DOI and returns the download key. occ_download() now supports download via institutionKey.
