A series of talks and presentations have also been taking place at our other Specialist Discussion Meeting, about the seismic soundscape of the UK and Ireland.

This 'UKI-Array' could support high-resolution imaging and research into geohazards, subsurface resources and net-zero goals.

First up in our black hole discussion meeting is a talk by Prof Debora Sijacki. 💫⚫

She says the field is moving in a "very exciting" direction, citing a "pioneering idea that black holes in dwarf galaxies could be driving powerful, fast outflows that could influence their star formation rates".
