We were honoured to welcome our new Patron Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal to our #Surbiton Home. Our residents and staff really enjoyed the visit, sharing that they were "Immensely proud to meet Her Royal Highness."
Blind Veterans UK provided a box of activities and advised on the set-up of Jed’s room. A case worker also meets Jed at the Home each month to see how he's getting on.

🌍 Today marks #WorldSightDay, an annual day dedicated to raising awareness about vision care and eye health ❤️

#Surbiton resident Jed, lost his sight after sustaining a serious head injury in 1987. He was supported by Blind Veterans UK, before coming to our #Surbiton Home
Concluding his tour, Sir Roly said: “I came away from the Home with comfort and gratitude knowing that Royal Star & Garter will provide the very best care to our Armed Forces community, now and in the future. It’s truly inspirational.”

Our #Worthing Home are hosting its annual Summer Fayre on Saturday 12 July ☀️

The Fayre will feature special guests, live entertainment, a kung fu and military vehicles display, a fun raffle with prizes on offer including tickets to the races at Plumpton, crafts stalls and traditional games 🎡

Our #HighWycombe Home were delighted to welcome the Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Lady Howe as part of our #ArmedForcesWeek celebrations 🎖️

Joining the residents in raising the flag, Lady Howe gave a speech about the importance of #ArmedForcesWeek and enjoyed a tour of the Home.
🎉 Today’s the day! We’re delighted that our #Surbiton Home is shortlisted in the #DementiaCareAwards in ‘The Innovative Spaces Within Residential Care: Design Award’.

This highlights some of the Home’s most cherished spaces, designed to improve #wellbeing for residents living with #dementia. 🤞💛
His move was supported by Armed Forces Covenant Support Officer Johanna, who helps patients get discharged into appropriate settings. She added “It was complicated as Alfred lived in the Bucks area. We were all able to work together to get the very best outcome.”

A vulnerable veteran, who found himself in and out of hospital after being diagnosed with dementia, has found a new home in our #Surbiton Home.

#Army veteran Alfred, was previously living alone, being constantly admitted to Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (MKUH).
To celebrate #NationalVolunteersWeek, we spoke with #Navy veteran Paul 🎖️

Paul volunteers as part of our Telephone Friendship Service (TFS). After receiving support for his amputation from other charities, he saw an advert for the service and was immediately interested.
The Home regularly hosts concerts and musical performances, celebrating a wide range of genres 🎶
