Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

What happens after ICE or CBP shoots someone? Are they taken out of the field? Do they have to go to counseling? You would think that if you shot and especially if you killed someone it would affect you.

After yesterday’s murder of Alex Pretti, we have to ask ourselves…haven’t we had enough? This is not going away by itself and Congress seems to be sitting on their thumbs. As John Lewis encouraged: ‘get in good trouble, necessary trouble.’
