I'm a journalist writing about capitalism for Democracy at Work.
Rev. Jesse Jackson, who I interviewed for @salon.com in 2018, says we must think of the hungry on Thanksgiving.

President Trump and his supporters oppose food stamps.

As they gorge, do the only right thing:

Shame them for opposing food stamps!

"Hollidaysburg" is a smart, socially-conscious Thanksgiving movie.

In 2014, it lost a filmmaking contest to the cinematic equivalent of Trump-Epstein.

"Hollidaysburg" lost a popularity contest, but it wins my heart.

Really important to hold the hard-won gains that autistics & advocates have made toward improved access & accommodations that facilitate our inclusion in society.

Individual support needs may change w/ age & environment, but they don't just disappear. Adult autists' voices are crucial to keep going

"Can Nonprofits Restrain Trump’s Autism Agenda?"

I wrote this headline for @npquarterly.bsky.social because, bluntly, we in the autism community need the nonprofit sector.

Without your support, pseudoscience will ruin our lives.

Trump administration policies will restrict services to autistic people. Millions will be affected. Nonprofits, however, can get informed and support the autism community.

"Primary Colors" is about a Bill Clinton-esque president.

John Travolta is brilliant as Clintonian pol Jack Stanton, never more so than when he advocates free trade.

Stanton/Travolta was right in 1998 and is still right.
