Fans of a team being happy their dreaded rivals have been defeated.

Oh, the horrors.

Wrote, a few years ago, about Mike Greenwell's rarest of rare home runs: an inside-the-park grand slam.

Greenwell was just 5th (and still the latest) with such a slam by BOS at Fenway, and his came against the #Yankees, no less. rsnstats.com/greenwells-r...

Very sorry to note the passing of 12-year #RedSox Hall of Famer and 2-time All-Star Mike Greenwell at age 62.

This is the first time in Yankees history that they have won just one World Series in a quarter-century.

In their 443 postseason games, #Yankees have never won a postseason game when trailing by 3 or more runs after 8 innings.

In club history, NYY has won just 23 regular season games when trailing by 4+ runs after 8 innings, most recently in September 2022 vs #Pirates.

On the potential pick off of Giancarlo Stanton did John Smoltz just say, "That would have been awful?"

ALDS FINAL: #Yankees bounce back from early deficit to avoid elimination in a 9-6 win vs #BlueJays in the Bronx.

In #Yankees postseason history (442 games), they've only won one time after allowing 6+ runs over 3 innings, as they did tonight.

It happened in 2004 ALCS Game 3 vs #RedSox at Fenway. NYY won the fight 19-8, but lost the war, falling to BOS, 4-games-to-3 in that series.

ALDS FINAL: #Mariners 8, #Tigers 4. SEA is a win away from advancing to the AL Championship Series.

⭐️ Tonight's is the first time #Yankees have allowed 6 runs over 3 innings of a postseason home game since 2004 ALCS Game 7 vs #RedSox. NYY lost that game 3-10 as the Sox advanced to the #WorldSeries and their first championship in 86 years.

#BlueJays looking to wrap things up early vs #Yankees. Wow, TOR is fun to watch, playing hot at just the right time.

NYY starter Rodón knocked out after 2.1 IP.

ALDS Update: #Yankees Chisholm asleep at the wheel as #BlueJays pad the lead to 3-1, and looking for more in the Bronx.

Maybe Smoltz should just suit up for NYY and go help out.

1st-inning home run for #BlueJays Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was a no-doubter, out at all 30 #MLB ballparks, and most importantly, way out of #Yankees Stadium for an early lead. #CantHelpMyself

At long last, #RedSox postseason presser included some accountability as Baseball Boss Breslow talked defense, situational hitting, and the early plans for a deeper drive into the 2026 postseason. rsnstats.link/espc

lol, they do seem to stick to a couple talking points. Which is unfortunate, because Stanton actually has a long list of postseason accomplishments.

Like most consumer-facing media, they like to keep it simple.

ALDS FINAL: #Mariners beat #Tigers 3-2 to even the series at 1-1, which now moves to Detroit.

No idea. But #Yankees are on the brink of an epic, $320 million collapse.

At the rate he's going, Vladdy might tie Stanton's career numbers this postseason.

On Sunday, Max Fried tied a #Yankees club record for most runs allowed by a starter in 3.0 or fewer innings of a postseason game (7). Also Andy Pettitte in 1996 World Series Game 1.

Fried is just 25th starter in #MLB postseason history with such a start.
