Happy fifty-sixth day of summer to all who celebrate. This is a sunflower that showed up in my dahlia garden. I didn't plant it and have no idea how it got here. Gardening, like life, is full of surprises. I've chosen to embrace this surprise and enjoy its beauty.

Really hoping they made it to their shelter. They do have one at their house (their area was like demolished by tornados multiple times in the past), but I don't know if they'd have made it home from work already by then...

Sh*t. Brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and their pups are in a Tornado Warning right now. Was listening to Max Velocity and heard their town mentioned over and over. Numbers didn't transfer to the new phone and husband still at work. Don't want to worry MIL if she doesn't know yet.

Don't know how I've managed to avoid every single #Eurovision song this year. I'm usually on a metaphorical Eurovision IV drip by now. It started by accident then became a challenge once I'd realized - a challenge I'm sticking to so far.

I'm so glad I got over my bug a whole 24 hours before I managed to badly hurt my foot and ankle.

The universe just does not want me going anywhere or doing anything, does it?

Literally all I did was stand up out of a chair and poof. Collapse! Almost smashed my head but thankfully Alan was there. 😮‍💨

Thank you, we kept having to push her tests back because of other things (like our own health, our other dog's cancer surgery and then eye injury, then MY eye injury, and repeated car issues, etc. aaaah) so it just feels like I need time to breathe. NOPE! Universe says, "Not Today!" 🤗

Had some bad luck with mechanics lately so not opposed to moving to/near Newton simply for the Wiiiiiiizard’s shop, lol. It was a lovely little town last we drove through. Perhaps we’ll start a sunflower farm… surrounding a racetrack and car-centric community/resort. (Now, how to get investors… 🤔🌻🚗)

Missed the end of #GeneralHospital because the vet called. Way earlier than I thought. Bad news: Maddie has Cushing's. 😔

Unfortunately the test could not differentiate which type as it usually can, so we have to do some ultrasounds which may require a trip two hours (one way) away.

Exhausted. Sad.

Worried about Cooper. 😢 He’s been bleeding but the vet is worried the trip to them (and worse, further to Tucson if later) might stress him more and tear bigger spots around his stitches. Now he’s acting off but is also super drugged so hopefully it isn’t his diabetes, too.
