👏 always nice to see one of our parkrunners on tour. We hope you enjoyed yourself (but not so much that you don't come home eventually!)

A massive 324 of us turned out for this morning's parkrun, ably led by RD Nicky and her team of 63 volunteers.
Imogen did a sterling job of welcoming our 56 first timers, of which nine were completing their first ever parkrun.

Happy parkrun pacer day! We had a near complete set of volunteer pacers from 20-45 minutes (not all pictured) and between them they encouraged 63 of us to achieving personal bests - which is usually unheard of in mid October. Well done everyone...
A photograph showing the backs of some - but not all - of the volunteer pacers as this morning's Royal Tunbridge Wells parkrun. They are all wearing pale blue bibs with black numbers on the backs. We can just about see all the numbers from 21-39. There were so many pacers that the higher and lower numbers didn't quite fit into the picture.

See you in less than an hour Tunbridge Wells!

Back to @rtwparkrun.bsky.social after a double tourism weekend in Germany last week. I will be pacing 28 minutes today. A pacer day in October is a rare treat! #parkrun #loveparkrun

Tomorrow we have our final pacer day of the year, so if you’re chasing a personal best, tomorrow could be a good opportunity before winter begins. We have volunteer pacers aiming to finish at most times from 20-41, plus 45 minutes, for you to chase.
A graphic containing the words: Chase the pacer. There is also a photograph of a row of people with their backs to us, they are wearing pale blue parkrun pacer tops with numbers 40-20 individually on each back.

Alternatively, would you like to get involved in parkrun without having to do a parkrun? Then you're in luck, because we're also looking for a few more marshals to cheer people on during the event. The more the merrier because we love to pair people up if possible...
rtwparkrun.bsky.social
Would you like to gain a volunteer credit while completing your 5k? We have a few pacer vacancies we'd really love to fill: 33, 37, 39, 41. We recommend volunteering for a time that's a little slower than you would normally parkrun - this gives you time to say hello to the people around you...

From this week’s official photos you’d never believe there’d been a storm. Volunteer photographer Richard Craig-McFeely certainly caught our sunniest side! ☀️
Take a look at our Facebook page to see all the action in today’s photo album: www.facebook.com/royaltunbrid...
A photograph taken in a park. There is a carpet of green grass, with a scattering of trees in the background. A young boy and an older man (we know they are son and father) are both smiling and doing a double thumbs up as they run towards the photographer. The boy is wearing a green sports T-shirt, the man’s is red, both are in dark-coloured shorts. Behind them is a group of other parkrunners.

Brilliant sunshine for today's @rtwparkrun.bsky.social

I love parkrun this time of year, when there's lots of autumnal colour, (and muddy season hasn't quite got going yet!)

A tad breezy - but plenty of brilliant sunshine to reward the 251 parkrunners and 44 volunteers who turned out today.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to today's event.

Four photos all showing different small groups of parkrunners running up a gently uphill tree lined path towards the end of the second lap. The leaves of the trees are still green, although showing hints of autumnal colours.

We're looking forward to a rather blustery parkrun tomorrow.

Thanks for the additional volunteer offers - we're just now short of one more to help with close down - and a couple of token sorters.

First timers' briefing is at 0850 near the cafe. Hope to see you there!
Finish token sorters on duty at a table on wooden decking outside the park cafe. On windy or wet days this role takes place inside the cafe!

21 years ago today the first parkrun was held, in Bushy Park. Happy birthday parkrun! #parkrun

Well done LL parkrun - hope you have a great time on Saturday!
rtwparkrun.bsky.social
For our upcoming parkrun we're in need of several more marshals, plus four people to help with close down.

If you are able to offer, please get in touch with us at [email protected] Many thanks!
Photo of an elderly gentleman on marshal duties. He is wearing pink hi vis jacket and is clapping the passing parkrunners. He is standing on a hard surface path with green leaved trees and shrubs in the background and to the side. The words "Thank you marshal!" have been superimposed on the photo

And here are today's results! Well done to our 316 parkrunners, and big thanks to today's 39 volunteers...

Please bear with us - today's results will be a little delayed due to a technical issue.

Thank you, as ever, to all of today's volunteers. And a special thank you to two parkrunners who stopped today to help with a medical incident out on the course.

Several hundred parkrunners setting out downhill on a path that curves in front the lake. Trees fringing the lake, although still predominantly green, are starting to show yellow autumnal tints.

Who’s got that Friday feeling? It won’t be long until things are even better and we have that parkrunday feeling! Join us in Dunorlan Park tomorrow. The first timers briefing is at 8.50am and all are welcome!

Morning! The set up crew are out and about and the signs and cones are being distributed. See you in half an hour!

RD Erica has a new message today: a reminder that it’s parkrun tomorrow!
All are welcome to run, walk or jog our course. See you in time for briefings at 8.50am.

This is next weekend’s RD, Erica, calling through the megaphone of social media, hoping to catch the attention of a few more volunteers!
We need more marshals for during parkrun, and close down heroes to collect signs after the event.
If you can help, please email [email protected]
A photograph of a woman viewed from behind. She is wearing a pale blue parkrun Run Director top. We can see that she has a megaphone in front of her face. In the distance, just about visible, are two men in bright pink parkrun volunteer tops.
