Dude did not believe at all that I didn't break it. I sent it to our solder tech who is having delays because he doesn't have the parts. Somehow I'm blamed for all of it. This dude is a cunt. Next time buy a fucking iPad like a normal person.

I got the worst repair of my life at work.

A OnePlus Pad 3 that was basically Jesus, miraculously working fine right up until I opened it, and then it broke.

Either I somehow found a way to mash pins on both LCD connectors and the FPC sockets just by unscrewing a metal plate, or 1+ quality sucks.

After listening to Proi Proi for the 1000th time and remembering how I railed on the Aquila fight, I would like to publicly apologize to Amphoreus. You started off mid, but then, you got pretty peak. Can't wait for the finale next patch.

It has the $5 monthly pass but I forgot to check what it gives. If it's like Nikke, the gems it gives will be the bound ("free") ones and not the premium ones.

The game's a haven for brainrotted gacha dolphins like me. But I will eventually have to come back to XIV for deep dungeon.

There IS a battle pass, and your dailies are basically tied to it. You can do it like normal or spend $10 (maybe $20 I didn't check) and get some extra resources and also an outfit at bp level 30.

It's cancerous for people who are used to XIV, but amazing for gacha freaks like me.

Blue Protocol = the best parts of FFXIV paired with a worse version of Genshin. You basically can't pull on banners for free unless you're fine with 3 weekly pulls a week (for a cosmetic, and the prices for paid gems are Genshin prices with slightly higher than Genshin rates).

The MMO is fun tho.

I still don't know if the cosmetics are truly that or if they have buffs. And banners don't work like Genshin at all, there are two types of pull ticket which can only be bought w/ either paid or free gems, and the free tickets are limited to 3 at a time. But the monthly Welkin might be a good deal.

New gacha MMO is cool

Feels like they added the bare minimum to qualify as an MMO and slapped cosmetic gacha on top. But the ability to make your own anime waifu/husbando OC is a big big big boon and will ensure I fill up all 3 character slots.

WuWa 2.7 is peak. You can stop there, you're not a reviewer, you're not benefitting from being an impartial observer, nor is anyone benefitting from you being one. Leave the pedantry to journalists and just enjoy the damn story unless it's really ass like 1.0 was.

My toxic hot take is

that we know not everything is perfect, that story patches in games (like FFXIV, HSR, or WuWa) are flawed. We know, buddy. You can glaze a story without pointing this out every time. The guy who comes in later with the "um ackshually" is an asshole who isn't worth catering to.

Oh hey! You're welcome! A lot of my points on naming and functionality were because I do work in Blender so I'm just used to certain things, the lights might be called something else in other programs but I'm just used to Blender naming haha

I think that's everything. It's not big stuff, just minor UX stuff that bothers me as a user of software. The new Brio is really powerful and I'm excited to see those new teased features implemented.

5) For whatever reason, "Mirror" transform still doesn't work right. It's named identically to the "Mirror" modes in Blender, which tries to keep things symmetrical, while all it does is act like an inverted "Copy" mode. Not as bad, since I got used to it, but it's still there.

4) A problem I've had for a while is the main window categories (Environment, Cameras, Actors) and the objects spawned from and managed by those categories (Lights, Cameras, Poseable Entities) are displayed nearly identically. Plus, I'd love some ways to manage clutter here (collapsing trees, etc.)

3) another point on the Overlay, opening it spawns gizmos on both whatever light is currently selected and also the currently selected actor. The behavior is curious since there's no way to deselect a light like you can with an actor besides "turning it off" (hiding it)

2) the Brio Overlay is still confusing, even more so now that it has a "toggle light window" button. Also, there are now "Open Overlay" buttons on two tabs. There should just be one button that opens and closes it, since it already changes to the correct "mode" by itself when switching tabs.

Brio's new update is great, but a few things bug me:

1) The naming scheme for Lights make no sense. Brio's "Area" light is actually what would be called a Point light in 3D graphics, while Brio's version of an Area light is instead named "Flat" light. The "World" light should be a Sun light.
