On today’s edition of Rudie’s Hi-Fi we pay tribute to the late Vin Edwards, a pioneer in early Jamaican Soundsystems and one of the early folks to record local musicians for exclusive play on their Soundsystem. We also pay tribute to dancehall artist Determine, who also passed away more recently.

Before I stumbled upon reggae music I was a young punk rocker. An older sibling had this record and I absolutely loved it. We even covered Babylon in the early days of The Mice. The New York Dolls shaped my youth. Rip David Johansen and long live The New York Dolls. #davidjohansen #newyorkdolls
