yea, the connectors generally turn to goo. I have a few bins of things I should still sort that were stripped that way. the hotplate and heatgun can actually do a really elegant, fragile, yet effective job of it! (I could use a bit more control)
Hmmmm 6800, must be precursor to the 6803 so many wires.

One of the cool chips from todays pull. MX635A, RMS to DC converter.
stripped a few more pcbs this evening.I got a good mix of the hotplate and heatgun working. wondering if I should modify the heatgun with a temp adjust....
THAT stack isn't a lot, thats why I'm stripping it down, each of those boards probably has 10 or less surface mount parts I want. I need space!!!
oh no, wait till you see the pants....
its a good point, I have a lot of stock, but I see the value when I want to build something and can make it all from parts in stock.
I'm not sure on an actual %, but I can say its a hard number to pin, I have printed many kg of plastic and can only account for maybe 1kg of it. low waste too.
Still no dual ported ram... You can see some FIFO chips in here tho, maybe I should make an audio delay...
The parts haul is getting really juicy. its still tiny tho, I did sort some of it.
The most popular 74xx series you find on modern boards is 74244, followed by 7404, then 74245 and 74374
I have quite a cache of stuff to strip down later.
I filled up a box and a bit today, which is great.
I remember when I used to do this with DIPs... I still have most of them :/...
I was stripping down boards again today. I think I will need to strip more than 2 cubic feet of them to start to get the shop back on track. not quite sure why I was keeping some things...
throw me some detail on your process, I kill lots of play pants.
I think *those* ribbon cables will delaminate and short-to-death long before they tear. I actually suspect you would have to pull like hell to get those laminated copper strips to give out. I have encountered a few.

Comcast. Wow thats bad. Keep business small....
thing fills that need to perform that task that is horridly repetitious!
heh, I bet fixing that one will save you from a world of grief with a new one on things you cant imagine.
easy multistep process.

ok, I'm tired now, goodnight internet.
the arm is easy once you have made a bunch of the joints...
