starting from the 3rd anni event, you get to use underleveled lb3 canon teams which might make it better since at least you get to test units you don't have

i don't remember this event much but i think i found the progression of isuzu's own story a bit disappointing but i forgave it since it was all to bring her to irene which got me hyped. like wow we actually got some followup (en got it faster though)

in fact, i'm suspicious that she uses this tone whenever she has intense feelings about smth. since she's kind of like that in the studio too. maybe she doesn't know how to face the intensity of her emotions

the best example to illustrate this is how she acts jealous. it's hard to take her seriously at first bc she says it in the same jokey tone as always and then switches back to normal so you'd think that she doesn't actually care but no. she very much cares

pathetic in an obvious way to an outsider, it's cute and i like that flavor too but it doesn't really feel like ruka so i end up facing a dead end bc it isn't her moving in my head but me making her move. but her actions shouldn't be too cool either and she should still be desperate in a subtle way

the thing about ruka is that she does pathetic/desperate things but in a nonchalant way so she looks like she doesn't really care that much but when you really think about it, her actions are often kinda desperate. so it's really hard to balance the cool and pathetic bc if she actually looks

you can identify the 3 bottom bunks by comparing the colors of the bed covers with the sleeping cgs! so yukki has to be under ruka and tsukasa under karen. they have no reason to separate them lol

it's bc it was yuina's event song but it's so funny how rkyk unison pvs get the yearning song while yuina's unison pv gets the song about being depressed

it's funny because judgement day being called a cover and hence most likely being an old!sil song led to theories that ruka was depressed in that era bc the lyrics are vaguely depressing in some parts lol i hope we eventually get an answer... ruka's arc can't be over!

my guess is that they got caught off-guard by the rap and finally paid attention to the lyrics and realized what they're like 😭 maeda is so funny for mentioning the controversy in his notes but still stubbornly including it in the album

it was controversial in jp since the style is super different and people were upset saying that 31A would never write such lyrics but outside of the song references, i personally don't find it more disconnected than previous songs? sil has always been like this imo. maeda has always been doing this

the song for this event is a bit special because it's mainly maeda venting (there are references to his old songs. even the first line in the game version is referencing clannad's op) so idk if it's okay to actually connect it to hbr lol
