The chickenpox complication that left Roman in a wheelchair aged four
Sociable, confident and football-mad, Roman settled in quickly when he started in reception at primary school. But all this changed after Roman contracted chickenpox, aged four, in 2022.

Happy New Year and all that. Don’t wish to dampen the mood, but does anyone else find it mildly depressing that @theguardian.com feels the need to explain that Asia sees in the New Year head of Europe and the USA? What does it tell us about the Guardian’s view of its readership?

We’re delighted to have marked a major milestone and the first exciting step towards our upcoming Bengaluru campus with a ground-breaking ceremony held at Alembic City! 🎉
