I wrote the 1st draft of Loophole in 2022, when I was pregnant with my daughter. A lot has changed since then, but my mission with this novel remains the same: to provide positive coping skills for children dealing with anxiety! 🥰

Write a book, they said. It'll be fun, they said.

Things they didn't say:
- Querying devours your soul.
- Imposter syndrome is your new roommate.
- Introverted authors must self-promote.
- You'll never want to read your book again.

AND...
- Your words can positively change someone's life. 🥰

Always stick to your guns about your health. You know your body better than anyone. I knew all along that something was up, but the doctors' doubt made me question myself. In the face of medical contradictions, be your own best advocate and don't lose heart. Rant over! 🎙️

I'm still flabbergasted that it took so much time and effort for the doctors to believe what I was saying about my own body. Even now, my psychiatrist insists Zoloft doesn't affect cholesterol. I'm left feeling frustrated and invisible. If you've read all this...

This year, I finally got through to my GP, and we tracked my data back so she could see what I see. And get this, since I cut my Zoloft dose down by 2/3, my cholesterol has DRASTICALLY IMPROVED. Now I'm going to switch to a different med and hopefully see more improvement.

But that's not even the frustrating part. Every doctor I've spoken to about the Zoloft potentially causing an increase in my cholesterol (and weight, to be frank) has insisted that there's no correlation between Zoloft and cholesterol. I've had to fight for them to hear me.
