So, while cold front of Canadian fury has its way with the US Midwest, it's pushed all the warm air here and it's close to 60 at 4am.

It's reasonable to assume that God is evil by design or inaction given the way the world is.
Add esoteric conspiracy theories on top of that and you're probably gonna get Gnosticism.
As opposed to the much simpler (but less comforting explanation) that nothing is in control and shit just happens.
