went into it wanting to like it but had to turn it off around halfway, just not a good movie. Unfortunate! Maybe that’s why it is on Amazon Prime Video? Unsure but looking likely

summation - Good movie. Long movie but wasn’t painful about it (2hrs 40 something minutes). Decent action, good story, good acting. Worth the time.

Quite liked the extended chase scene, cars zooming up and down rolling hills with a very satisfying resolution. The scoring was a strong point for the movie and it really paid off in that scene.

DiCaprio is a really good actor. Learning that the actress for Willa, a 16 year old teen, is actually a 26 year old woman was a little funny. Chase Infiniti (dope name) was pretty good.

One Battle After Another was pretty good. Think it’s the last “make humorous commentary on the extremes of both sides of the political spectrum” movie I want to see for a while, feel like it’s been a lot of them lately and they really don’t accomplish much.

I’m also seeing Guns & Moses later today but that’s more of a “using my A-list” movie than a “have been waiting months to see this” movie like Eddington was. If something stands out to me about it I’ll give my opinion

But yeah I enjoyed it, would probably not watch it again but was worth my time

The discomfort I felt throughout but more acutely in the first half was definitely intentional, it had a lot to do with taking me back to an uncomfortable time and looking at it harshly (2020)

for reference, F1 and Superman were around the same length and both kept me thoroughly engaged to the point their length was a non factor

It definitely felt every bit of its long runtime. It failed to grab me in a way that made me ignore how long I had been sitting in the theater which is a shame, I hate thinking “damn, can they wrap it up already” but unfortunately that thought happened a couple times.

Overall good! Expected more insanity/Ari Aster-ness, felt a bit tame by his standards. 1st half was kind of uncomfortable and whatever, 2nd half had much more of what I was expecting and was pretty good
