Tried to really push a study, color wise. The original is overcast.

Like what you like, but don’t shame people because you think what they like is beneath you.

”How can you like ____? It’s sooooooo bad?”

So tired of “hate everything because it’s the cool thing to do”. it feels like people don’t watch movies or shows to have a good time, but to complain about it after. “Look how smart I am! Im fixating on this minute detail that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of the film!“

I have a rough idea, but I usually am a little surprised. I do have colleagues who know what they’re doing from the start. I tend to find my way in the sketch. its easier when it’s done from reference 😂

A custom set I made. They‘re adjusted versions of my PS brushes, and actually work better in Procreate. I’ve had several requests for them, so may put a pack together soon.

Took a break from 3D. Study from ref, dine in #procreate

this is smudge. He barked at the door, paused, let out a super long fart, then let out a sigh like he was done for the day.

Across multiple platforms, I’ve noticed an increase in invites/follows from “AI Specialist” accounts, more so on linkedin. Why would I want to associate with you when all you want to do is use a plagiarism machine that’s stolen from me and my colleagues? Block.

Following more tutorials with EMBERGEN. Tried making some creative choices🫠 Lots to improve on, lots to learn, but gotta start somewhere.

sometimes following tutorials that aren’t specifically what you want to know are even more helpful. I’m trying to learn how to make clouds, but followed an underwater explosion tutorial, and the it’s given me a bunch of ideas on how to approach clouds

As for the most helpful, creative shrimp is a greater starter, but since I starting usingvdb from EMBERGEN, Samuel’s shader work helps a bit, and a lot of trial and error to get a descent shader in blender thats anywhere close to what EMBERGEN looks like

Yep on nebula a sunspots. Jangafx has their own channel, also Royals & Rogues is super helpful

Geo Nodes are super intimidating. This is just shader work (w/ displacement modifier) cobbled together from a couple YouTube videos.

I still like to draw out my sets, but 3D is definitely a viable tool to communicate ideas in animation. Don’t let anyone discourage you from broadening your skill set.
