Meet Cute wasn’t what I was expecting but that’s a good thing. I thought it’d just be a fun fluff piece. I was wrong. It was definitely funny at times but it was the more serious undertones that caught me. I kind of loved it.

This is definitely not a movie for everyone but I’m glad I didn’t let the poor IMDb rating stop me from trying it.

I found it hilarious. The occasional violence was over the top but it’s not unexpected, given that it’s from Ethan Coen (see Ballad of Buster Scruggs).

There’s no pleasing some people (or some cats).

Re-watching Arcane from the beginning because a new season dropped. It’s an exaggeration but not by much: every frame is art.

Also, Shohreh Aghdashloo has such a spectacular voice. Instantly recognizable. It somehow lends a certain weight to the story.

Who is it that didn’t like Dial of Destiny? Crazy people, that’s who.

All the little references back to earlier movies, the modified Wilhelm Scream, so many things.

The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar was described as “enchanting” on Netflix. This is too short a word. Far too short and too thin. I can’t do better than concur and add my #wouldRecommend, wholeheartedly.
