Labour promised cheaper energy bills, but instead, they are £150 higher than this time last year.

People will go into this winter struggling to heat their homes. In an energy-rich country, that is unacceptable.

Westminster won’t fix this – but with independence, Scotland can.

From next Monday, your rail commute will be cheaper.

We’re scrapping peak rail fares in Scotland for good.

Under the SNP, public ownership of rail means fairer prices – making travel cheaper, greener and easier for everyone.

Great to have First Minister @johnswinney.bsky.social here in Dunfermline today with @sa4dunfermline.bsky.social setting out the @snp.org’s vision for Scotland and listening to members.

With next year’s election upcoming, it’s important we engage with members and put independence at the front.

A better future with independence - real change that will make a difference to your life.

Independence is how we build the Scotland we all deserve.
Graphic with a quote from First Minister John Swinney on a yellow background. The quote reads: “Independence is the catalyst that will deliver a better future for us all. It can be a fresh start for all of us – putting us in charge of our own destiny and our immense resources.” At the bottom right, there is a photo of John Swinney smiling and waving in a suit and tie. The SNP logo and Scottish flag are shown beside the slogan: “Always on Scotland’s side.”

🇵🇸 The UK should follow the example of France tonight and recognise the State of Palestine.

This is essential for peace. The ceasefire and humanitarian aid must start now.

Westminster doesn’t work for Scotland.

Independence means choosing our own future - using our energy wealth to lower bills, growing our economy, building a fairer nation.

Let’s build that independent Scotland together. Here is how I intend to do that. 👇

Great to welcome @sa4dunfermline.bsky.social to discuss key challenges for single parents, including work barriers, childcare & unpaid care.

With 1 in 4 families being single parent families, it was a welcome opportunity to discuss manifesto calls

Labour are increasing your energy bills, after promising to cut them - to pay for a nuclear plant in England.

I spoke to @scotnational.bsky.social about Scotland's fairer approach to social security, my frustration over the inadequacies of the Union & how we could do so much more with the full powers of independence.

This should be at the heart of every debate about Scotland’s future.

EXCLUSIVE: Scotland's social security system is a 'shining example' of how things could be different under independence, the Social Justice Secretary has said.

🗣️'If we had our independence, we could be doing that on a much bigger scale'

We will not cut Scotland's Adult Disability Payment.

The UK Government reforms have yet to be passed at Westminster, so there is still time for them to step back and I would strongly urge them to scrap their harmful proposals.

⚠️ The SNP Scottish Government is spending tens of millions every year just to undo the damage done by Westminster.

💛 We will always act where we can to protect the most vulnerable from Labour’s cuts, and deliver for the people of Scotland.

Delighted that Cabinet Secretary @sa4dunfermline.bsky.social has agreed to my amendment to the Housing Bill, which will tackle the scandal of domestic abuse survivors being forced to pay off their abuser's Council Tax debts.

Westminster has just voted to block Scotland from having control over migration policy.

The Scottish Parliament has been calling for a migration policy which meets Scotland’s needs - but Westminster said no.

✂️ Yesterday, we led a vote condemning Starmer’s brutal cuts to support for disabled people.

8 Labour MSPs abstained - including their leader Anas Sarwar! 😱

Labour say he was at the anti-far right summit in Glasgow… but so were all other party leaders, who did manage to vote.

Scotland’s delivering more homes per head than anywhere else in the UK.

Since 2007, we’ve delivered 136,705 affordable homes - 97,099 for councils and housing associations.

We’re focused on what matters to you: secure homes, strong communities, and a fairer Scotland.

Child poverty has fallen in Scotland - whilst rising sharply in the UK.

Absolute child poverty in Scotland fell from 23% to 17% - the lowest figure in 30 years.

SNP Scottish Government policies are working to deliver on our top priority of eradicating child poverty.

Too many commentators/media reports still accepting UKG line that cuts to PIP are about helping people back to work. PIP is a recognition of the additional costs of a disability/long term condition. It is NOT related to being in or out of work.
