Good to see BACP acknowledging some of the issues surrounding men’s access to psychotherapy. Am encouraged by their calls for more men to enter this “feminised” (their word) profession.

ULEZ didn’t kill the high street.

London’s clean air zone led to increased footfall on Outer London high streets—especially in poorer areas.

That’s the upside. The downside? It may be because poorer residents had fewer alternatives. Local economies gained, but social inequalities deepened.

Interesting finding on the impact of London’s ULEZ expansion.

Kintsugi teaches us that cracks can hold beauty, not shame. Healing ruptures adds beauty.

A problem might not need fixing or forgetting, but gentle attention.

What shifts when we see the fracture as part of the story, not the end of it?

Think about context, relationship, and intent. It could be a boundary or invitation to explore but not ignored.

Therapy isn’t neutral. It’s relational
and includes what we name, challenge or sit with.

Contracting matters. Be clear that therapy is a space grounded in respect, safety and dignity.

Not everything goes to plan — and that’s not failure.

There’s opportunity in adversity. Growth in discomfort. Grace in the mess.

When things go wrong, we’re invited to pause, reflect and reconnect with what matters.

No shame. No blame. Just the complexity of being human.

For example:
– Beta blockers often end in -olol (e.g. atenolol, propranolol)
– ACE inhibitors end in -pril (e.g. ramipril, lisinopril)
– SSRIs often end in -ine (e.g. sertraline, fluoxetine)
– Statins end in -statin (e.g. simvastatin, atorvastatin)
Knowing the pattern can guide practice.
