When he was late arriving to court today I didn't expect it to end this way. I'm very glad he has pleaded guilty, there was no doubt he was the driver, and it was deeply upsetting for the people at the parade and in Liverpool

Virgil van Dijk spoke after Liverpool’s loss to Nottingham Forest yesterday. Nothing unusual about that. What was unusual was how visibly angry he was, admitting the champions are a mess and accusing teammates of shirking responsibility & letting down Arne Slot.

So much of Uefa’s promotion of the Champions League is based around it being a tournament that is watched in homes across the world and yet, in reality, they continue to make it harder and harder for people without a gazillion TV subscriptions to watch any of it.
