I found this rove beetle friend on the rainforest floor. They are so so fast, you can imaging me chasing it around with my camera just rolling around in the leaf litter. Just unbelievable colors. In person the rainbow iridescence is stunning. It’s hard to say much here beyond just wow.

my Kingdom's Edge illustration for a #hollowknight zine that came out recently. very proud of this piece

A large illustration depicting scenes within Kingdom's Edge, a region in the game Hollow Knight. The bust of the Pale Wyrm comes in from the bottom edge of the image and appears to observe the twisting tunnels within which the scenes take place. The largest tunnel which makes an S shape shows Oro's hut then an ash-covered path down through a tunnel and over rocks to show Oro sitting on some rocks in the lower right corner. In the upper left of the image, the tunnel shows the canyon with a fallen Fool, a boofly, and the acid pool. Beneath that is a long, thin tunnel that shows Hornet awaiting a fight. To the right is a tunnel with the lifeblood cocoon at the upper end, a Hallownest marker next to part of Bardoon's body in the middle, and then another acid pool flowing along the tunnel as it goes to the left. A final defined tunnel goes vertically down showing the long shaft that includes some fungal growths. A few dark tunnels cross behind all this, and the backdrop is pure black.

This is a photo from the shed at work. These are the nests that the mud bees build. Usually they are brown because of the mud. This one is grey because the bees are using fucking concrete dust from the bags we have in there and it is basically an Indestructible concrete bee fortress.
