Checking updates back, this is still accurate except for two additions
-Perplexity (AI) being selectable as default search
-Quick link to google lens if google is the default.

To avoid accidental usage, one can unselect these from Settings > Search (Google, Perplexity)

How to disable the option for AI chat from Firefox:

Optionally, navigating to 'about:config' and disabling 'browser.ml.enable' (not just chatbox) will disable any capabilities for usage

So far a quick search shows all functions to be opt-in ♥
