Really enjoyable workshop today at the Newbridge Project, and great to have a print copy of this! A few people have asked if they can buy a copy. Let me know if you would like one (and what you’d pay). If there’s enough interest I’ll look into it! We also read from Reclaim the Hides’ brillant zine

I feel like the last couple decades of "is representation good or not?" discourse missed more important questions of "how fragile is representation?", "what do we do when multiple industries eliminate it as an intentional move against us?" and "how can we sustain queer artists when shit goes south?"
"According to the report, [...]during the 2024-25 television season, queer characters increased across platforms by 4%, bringing the total to 489. However, the Thursday report found that 41% of those characters will not return." www.thewrap.com/glaad-where-...

Trans-exclusionary feminism falls on its foundational claim - that it speaks for women. Consistently, a majority of women disagree. Yet sadly the campaign is well-funded and persistent. Please respond to the consultation on the Hampstead Heath ponds and help show there is no mandate for exclusion
🏊‍♀️The women who swim at Kenwood Ladies Pond have already made their decision.

In 2024, almost 900 members voted to keep their trans-inclusive policy - a policy that has worked peacefully since 2019.

Now, a small campaign group is seeking to overturn that democratic decision through the courts.

I grew up riding the 18 bus to School in central Jerusalem and came very close to a horrible death in more than one bomb attack. It hasn’t made me believe that Jewish safety comes from the right to oppress and kill Palestinians. It hasn’t made me scared of Muslims or a supporter of genocide 🧵

My son is on blockers legally from before the ban and we did everything they told us to do and now we are being threatened with social services if we don't allow them to "safely withdraw" medication. They admit that the impact will be "stark" for our kids but they are going to do it anyway.
"Laura fears all will be lost if ICB Sussex forces her child off the medication.

If ICB Sussex get their own way in a matter of weeks and they force detransition, Olive may well take her life."
