what she would rather be doing, which makes the sacrifice feel less impactful. compare this to focalors, who also dies to save her nation. we know she would've rather lived as a human, and she's scared in the face of death, and knowing this adds to the emotion of her sacrifice

writers did more to show us her anguish at having to give up two lives for her nation and her people. it feels like they wanted to go that route, but never really bothered to show how much mavuika actually wants to live. like citlali says "but what abt what you want?" and mavuika doesn't really say
