This is a series where protagonist Suika and her classmate Kana form a "cute alliance" where members show each other things they think are cute. Such as their underwear. Suika falls in love with Kana. Miharu joins their club because it's a chance to wear the cute clothes Miharu enjoys wearing.

As of chapter 11 of Kawaii Doumei, it is looking rather likely that Miharu is being written as an egg. So, potentially a yuri manga with a trans girl as an important secondary character.

Dengeki Maoh is marking its 20th anniversary this month and its got anime adaptations of 2 of its manga airing: WataTabe and Shuumatsu Touring. I like the WataTabe manga more, but by first impressions the Shuumatsu Touring anime feels like its bringing more in adaptation. Backgrounds especially.

Yachiyo (八千代) resembles Hachikō (ハチ公), the dog that has a statue outside Shibuya station. Suzu means bell. Yukijirushi is a major diary brand. One of the later characters is named after a baseball player.

In addition to the animal name (the 12 Chinese zodiac animals + 2 cat sisters + a wolf), there's usually some kind of other word play in the names. So Mikine shortens to Miki, which sounds like Mickey.
