I think on the season Weissert has pitched well. But it’s apparent he’s not as “on” as he has been for the last 2 months or so. San Francisco trip seems a turning point. He doesn’t seem as confident in his demeanor either. Unrealistic to expect every bullpen guy to have a season like Chapman though.

I knew I was in a niche group, but not what I hoped for. I think an aspect not spoken out loud here is how profoundly disappointing the first home must be for the second to leapfrog it. At least for me, everyone’s situation is different.

I guess where I’m going is this: I don’t want to live in a country that “has TCN’s” To live in such a country is to view a significant and large part of the local population as less than and inherently subservient. I can’t help but feel like recent events are pushing us to a country w/ TCN status.

In the Middle East theater of operations they are usually Filipino, Bangladeshi or Pakistani. This is the Middle East version of immigrant labor. They do all the manual labor the host country finds beneath them. Local law has literal tolerance for infractions from this part of their population.

As a retired US serviceman the acronym TCN conjures up many thoughts. TCN (Third Country National) is ubiquitous to anyone deployed 1990-onwards. You (I) are American. Whatever country you are deployed to (Saudi, Qatar) is the second country. A TCN is someone there with you from somewhere else.
