I'll get around to publishing my first episode one of these days, I swear.

It's October, so my wife and I decided it's finally time to start The Vampire Diaries. It is everything I expected as someone who grew up in that era, and more. Predictable, ridiculous, and nostalgic AF. Can't wait to see where this goes.

Grieving is hard. I feel like there's a hole in my chest. I don't want food. I'm so tired. And every time I pick up something small and black in my peripheral vision, I think it's Rio, for just a millisecond (because it usually was, before this week). I know he's gone. I miss him.

Kiddo is not coming home. His kidney levels haven't stabilized. With 3 days of infusions, the levels have barely changed from when we brought him in (when he was actively dying).

Y'ALL! Rio is eating again today. The vet says he's improving. We'll find out how his kidneys are doing tomorrow AND PROBABLY BRING HIM HOME! 😭😭😭

My guy is going through renal failure. He's on infusions at the vet's office, this week, to see if they can stabilize him. Things don't look good. I'm struggling.

Now we're at the ER, because he still hasn't pooped, stopped eating food 2 days ago, and is barely taking in any fluids, and seems to be struggling to move in ways he normally does. Send healthy vibes to my boy, please. He's been the most consistent male presence in my life, these last 13 years.
