So I have no path to full time teaching but disgraced chancellor Cheng gets a tenured teaching job?! In case anyone is wondering why higher education is so expensive, I suggest you look at the leadership packages cuz it sure as hell ain’t my adjuncting salary.

The power of photography meets an absolutely disgraceful episode in our history…
U.S. Marines killed 24 civilians in Haditha, Iraq, and documented the aftermath. For years, the military tried to keep the photos from the public.
The Haditha Massacre Photos That the Military Didn’t Want the World to See
When U.S. Marines killed twenty-four people in an Iraqi town, they also recorded the aftermath of their actions. For years, the military tried to keep these photos from the public.

Chosen solitude may be the most significant social fact of our age, @dkthomp.bsky.social writes. The emergence of the anti-social century is changing childhood social development, our physical infrastructure, and even our relationship to reality.

After WWII, many countries tried to build for community connection. Yet the upper classes in many instances chose the isolation of the suburbs and social housing became the working-class slum. Loved how this article addresses architecture as part of this massive shift away from community.
