Ok here's a very niche bit of history that is new to me.

Arthur C. Clarke spoke to the Conference on Disarmament on the Prevention of an Arms Race in Outer Space in 1982. (Technically it was the Committee on Disarmament since the CD wasn't born yet but not important).
