I just learned that my #shortstory about grief made it to the top 20% of entries for the Oxford Flash Fiction Prize. While it didn’t make the long list, I’m thrilled. As a #poet, exploring this genre can be intimidating. So I’m taking every win I get!

An unexpected turn brought me here a year ago today. If the air in #Bali was a person, I think it would be the long lost cousin of the air in an antique bookshop. Heavy and fragrant with centuries of tradition and devotion.
