This government is setting out a mission to halve violence against women and girls within a decade. This is an issue that is an absolute priority to me.

These are just some ways in which we'll be doing that.

Some of you may already know that each week I sit on the Justice Select Committee, which scrutinises the Ministry of Justice and other associated bodies. This week, Secretary of State for Justice David Lammy was in front of the committee.

The scenes in Bondi this weekend have been horrifying. My thoughts are with the victims' loved ones, all those affected by this terrible act of violence, and the wider Jewish community.

I've met with Lord Hendy, Rail Minister, on multiple occasions. Just this week, we spoke on a number of issues that I know have been impacting constituents, such as the lack of accessibility at Sandbach station, a lack of late trains, and Sunday services in Congleton🚆

Labour is delivering the biggest-ever investment in road maintenance to fix Britain’s broken roads, giving councils the long-term investment they need to plan properly and get things right first time.

Issues surrounding SEND and access to services is something that I push strongly about in Parliament. Recently, I met with Secretary of State for Education Bridget Philipson. I raised concerns about CAMHS, the urgent need for additional SEND places, and the funding pressures for local schools.

I had such a lovely time at the Spark Lane Nurseries’ Christmas market! I’ve been lucky to have been able to attend lots of Christmas events in the constituency this month already, and hearing that Spark Lane raised over £1000 for the Guide Dogs charity is brilliant! 🎄🐾

Some post-budget reflections from me💭

Lots of great news for us locally, with investment in roads, small businesses, and a reduction in family bills.

41 sign-ups for UK Parliament Week across the constituency (and in the top 100 constituencies across the country...) 👏

Thank you to all of those who have signed up. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you all get up to between now and Friday.

On International Men's Day, I want to reiterate how important it is that we continue to push for increased paid paternity leave. I'm proud to chair the APPG on Family Friendly and Flexible Working, and work with brilliant cross-party MPs, charities, and organisations on this.

Compared to last year, ambulances are arriving faster and NHS waiting lists are down by 230,000. There's still lots to do, but these are great achievements.

Numerous constituents have been in touch with me regarding their experiences with FirstPort. It's an issue that I've raised in Parliament, and will continue to challenge on behalf of my constituents.

I signed this letter alongside a significant number of fellow MPs.

Armistice Day is a time to reflect, as we did on Sunday, on the bravery of those lost by the end of WWI. On Sunday, I visited the Cenotaph in each of our constituency's towns to lay a wreath and pay my own respects.

Lest we forget.

Today, we commemorate those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. I’m proud to honour their lives and bravery.

We will remember them.

Some photos from Congleton Bonfire last weekend!🎆

If you’re attending any bonfires or firework displays this weekend, be sure to keep safe and be respectful of people in the area. It can be a tricky few weeks of the year for those with pets or livestock.

A big thank you to Congleton Rotary.

I had the pleasure of visiting Avocet in Holmes Chapel a few weeks ago, and yesterday I was proud to mention them in Parliament.

With such competitive international markets, I asked the Defence Secretary what steps they are taking to support British manufacturing businesses such as Avocet.

Had fun trick or treating with my children this weekend (thanks to all those who were generous with the sweets!), but I can't pretend my decorations were a patch on those I saw at Sparks Lane Nursery...

Their Christmas market is coming up at the end of the month. Mark your calendars!

70% of children in poverty have at least one working parent. Statutory paternity pay is currently so low that men often don’t take it, and commonly don’t take up shared parental leave at all.

This is not a sustainable living for people with children, and we need to look at it urgently.

The biggest change to sexual health services in 60 years. The morning-after pill will now be free in pharmacies across England, in a huge step forward for women's health.

In March, I spoke in the Commons about how difficult it can be for victims of abuse when having to pay a fee to have their details withheld from the insolvency register.

For people who often escape abuse with little more than the clothes on their back, survivors can face a heavy financial burden.
