Work (hopefully*) with them to maximize their independence. Losing it is really hard. *sometimes, it will be without them. Forcing my parents to get in home PT was hard, I felt like I was betraying/infantalizing them, but we now agree it was a great move.

I did that once. Probably will avoid doing both arms at once in the future. Flu shot tomorrow, Covid in a couple weeks, may see if I can sneak rsv in, too.

The sinus headache that woke me up early this morning makes even glasses hurt, so I decided minimal screen time & called out.

And then the heavy machinery arrived to repave a portion of my street, a couple door down.🫠

Also, you have a color combo such that you can’t even try to get stuff that disguises fur.(My first 3 were grey tabbies, by chance. I could try. Then the tortie& sandy &greybie. Yeah…)

I wore pants today. Cooler temps had cats wilding at strange times. Inside temp is what I keep at winter, but I’m not adjusted yet. Neither are they; Maple optimistically tried out a radiator.

Project Hail Mary is an excellent travel read. Gave it to my retired astronomer (who introduced me to sci fi) dad and he actually talked to me about it, which is big.

I really like Andy Weir for just… exposition. Science explained. Good humans. Imagination. It’s not complicated, it’s fun. It’s familiar. (Sometimes I want literary brainwork. Sometimes I just want a smart ride to carry me.)
