Last week, Bradford Crown Court saw the horrific case of a man jailed for sex abuse and ‘marrying’ a fifteen-year old girl, who was groomed and sexually abused by men from the age of 13, abuse that continued when she was in a Bradford children’s home.

Their powerful creations were then showcased as part of our festival, CULTURE at the Bombed Out Church.

Over the past few years, we’ve welcomed medical students students to join us for a morning of training on ‘honour’-based abuse and harmful practices, followed by our weekly Women’s Hour, which includes holiday celebrations, arts and crafts, educational discussions and more!
SAMP is a six-week, student-selected placement for final-year medical students, designed to help them explore personal clinical interests and potential career pathways across the North West and wider UK.
We’re proud to have been awarded a Liverpool School of Medicine Partnership Certificate for our work with the Selective in Advanced Medical Practice (SAMP) programme.
We'll be covering:
- Different environments where modern slavery can occur
- Key connection between modern slavery & HBA
- Signs to look out for
- How professionals can respond
