What chapter are you writing right now — and what are you learning in the process?

If you’re standing at a chapter break in your work or life, wondering what’s next, maybe it’s not the end. Maybe it’s the beginning you didn’t know you needed.
In a world that often pushes us to rush through the hard stuff, they create space to pause, reflect, and rewrite — with clarity and purpose.

The tagline is “Writing the pages of your life…” It’s how they help people & teams step into change with intention. Whether it’s developing stronger leaders, building more collaborative teams, or guiding individuals through tough transitions, they’re helping people shape what's next.

It also made me think about the work my friend and colleague, Michael Stafford 🤓 is doing through The Chapter Coach Training and Consultancy.
“This is not the end of me, this is the beginning…”

That line from Andy Grammer’s "Not the End" hit me hard this morning. It’s a reminder that every challenge, every pivot, and even every so-called "failure" is just part of a new chapter — not the end of the story.

I thought I'd leave you with a little note from one of my latest Leadify pieces on how reading builds empathy and leadership insight; reading can be a form of self-care; and fiction sharpens your communication and cognitive skills.

Happy Friday...

It's been a long, heavy week here in my little corner of the world. But it's Friday and I'm going to make sure to take time for me this weekend. (See comments)
Keep showing up, keep being kind, and keep believing in the impact of small actions. Change doesn’t always look big—but it’s always happening.

Cheers to the weekend and the quiet work of becoming. 💛

Whether your weekend looks like rest, adventure, or catching up on laundry—make sure there’s at least one moment that’s just for you.

For me, that means a fabulous Drag Show tonight with my wife to support some of my dearest friends and hanging out with friends and chosen family over the weekend!
Happy Friday, friends! ☀️

Before we slide into the weekend, just a little reminder from me to you:

✨ The small stuff does matter.
✨ You made it through another week (👏).
✨ Rest is productive.
✨ You’re allowed to feel proud of what you did get done.
In my new article I make the case for storytelling as a leadership tool. And not just in the “tell your story” kind of way. I explore how reading fiction builds empathy, sharpens communication, and strengthens emotional intelligence—all while giving your brain and heart a much-needed reset.
We don’t always think of fiction as leadership development.

But what if the stories you love—the ones that challenge you, move you, stay with you—are quietly shaping the kind of leader you’re becoming?

Productivity? Questionable.
Cuteness? Off the charts.
Work-life balance? Nailed it. 🐾✨

Anyone else working with furry coworkers today? 💻🐶

I’m sitting outside, waiting to get my busy day of back-to-back meetings started and it’s such a beautiful day. ☀️

So I got to thinking… How will I spread light today? And I’d love to hear from you! What’s one small action you’ll take to spread some light and joy in the world? 🌎
Just finished Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey — finally! Book 22 of 2025 and worth every second.

Got inspired to read it after hearing him speak at ATD 2024. The audiobook? Chef’s kiss. Highly recommend.
