There's a lot to unpack with the new Aston Martin AMR26 Honda. Here's my decoding of the grainy pictures seen so far. #F1 #F1tech

Better pictures of the RB22. It's not that the sidepods have no undercut, there's no overhang at the top, very slim.
Front suspension, like the VCarb, is not inclined.
The diffuser wall is totally missing!
Not convinced, that's a hole in the back of the sidepod.

Is Ferrari running an S-Duct?
The vane ahead of Ferrari's sidepod merges into the sidepod
It could be a cooling inlet
Or, its linked to the vent fitted behind the cockpit
This would clean up the airflow (boundary layer) along the flank of the car to the diffuser slot.

Audi's #F1 steering wheel...
They are using the existing Sauber steering wheel. No doubt the button/rotary allocations will change to suit the new team/rules.

First look at #F1 2026 brake discs & bell, a birthday gift to #SP11
Front discs are 15mm bigger at 345mm dia & 34mm thick, with a 1000+ 2.5mm dia holes
The bell connects the disc to the axle with splines, creating less stress than bolts
Air passes thru the bell to cool the disc and the pads. #F1tech

As its Daytona this weekend, just a note to say how great this book by Jamey Price is.
Rather than hi-res digital, its all on those little film cameras. It creates these lovely atmospheric shots from race events around the world 👍

The real Haas gets shaken down at Fiorano. A very different car, aerodynamically to tge Ferrari, if similar mechanically.
Interesting details, especially with the front wing endplate shape.

The low and late sidepod undercut pressurises the volume before the hole allowing for energised air to penetrate the hole.

Ferrari SF26 snap analysis, similar sidepod and slotted diffuser as the new Mercedes. Front suspension similar to McLaren 2025.

Merc appeared have found a whole different interpretation of the #F1 diffuser regs 🤔
There's a huge opening in the side! It can be seen both sides. Probably working with the huge undercut on the sidepods to create more downforce
I wouldn't call this a double diffuser

Some early looks at Mercedes W17 renders. Usual caveats apply until we see the real thing.
The top view shows a few interesting details. It's the first time we've seen a front wing with only thecrear flapnopening with active aero. Then the sidepods feature one unusual lines.

Some snap analysis of the Racing Bull at its shakedown down yesterday.
Very different from the launch 3D model.

A bit more insight to what's what on the new Honda PU.
There's a return to throttles after bring throttleless up to 2025, while the narrow valve angle has been kept.
The yellow structure on the head is the upper chassis/gearbox mounts. They are so big to meet the minimum weight (130kg) & CofG rules

Here's a little pointer to what's on the Honda RA626.
Its still +1000hp & huge torque. Near 50/50 split ICE/Hybrid. But uses 33% less fuel, plus the fuel is sustainable. Banned; Split turbos, MGUH, Variable inlets.

The front suspension on the Haas VF26 looks like Mcl's 2025 lower multilink set up (caveats apply).
There's no lower wishbone, but 2 seperate links joining the upright, creating a virtual steering axis. This can aid tyre management and aero. So, it could be on the Ferrari SF26 too
