Hello! My name is Spoon (she/her) An independent Mi'kmaq illustrator. I work on kids books and comics! But I mostly love to post about my ocs :D

Inspiration is found everywhere, today it was found in an impromptu visit from a young faun and her mother past my window. Despite the hot summer sun, the little baby bounded about with joy. The bright and almost glowing colours of this quick doodle only capture a small part of this creature's whimsy. May we all find the time to prance around, in our own way.

Instagram art challenge got me crawling back out of hell

At first you take notice of the apple core. Its skin is a warm colour, that of the midday sun. The flesh has been chewed away, leaving the middle bare and exposed. As the outline of the core comes into focus it's silhouette tells another story. Two people, carving out the husk of this apple, look at each other and smile. Only just an impression in the fruit, their eyes share the same warmth of its skin.

A couple of little friends to brighten your day as they did mine! #bugs

A bee resting peacefully on a purple flower, doing its very important job of pollination! The light as air little fella is able to prop themself up on the thin petals of the flower.

An isopod, armadillidium vulgare, or the common Rolly Polly. Shes resting peacefully on a rock. The tiny yellow patches of this particular morph are barely visible on this specimen, giving her an almost pure grey appearance. She is quite beautiful :)
