Comic characters are so incredibly hard to get into because of how much source material is out there. Especially DC when they reset their universe every 6 months or some shit. I am thankful to have a fav that has very few solo runs, and occasional guest appearances in other stuff.

i always thought it was an interesting touch that out of all the statues he smashed here, it was donna troy. a little nod to the fact that she was really the only friend he had during his short stay with the titans. and even then, most of their dynamic was him trying to tell her he is not dick.

To add to this, I think this realization is what drove him to find his biological mother. He knew he couldn't be what they wanted him to be. So instead of resigning himself to a life devoid of love, he sought it out in the only person he had left.
