Thank you for sharing - it is a wonderful essay. I grew up in small town NW Ohio. Was a paper girl too - Toledo Blade. Graduated from BGSU in 1982 with the help of Pell grants, National Direct Student Loans, and my foundry worker mom. Grateful for public schools and universities.
Very helpful context and well articulated. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing! Had a great day in Tiffin, OH too!
No Kings in a red state small town
When I'm in that phase, taking them out at night is a sweet relief. Good luck!
So happy for you! I have been deaf in my left ear since measles at 2, but didn’t get my first aid in the right. till my 40’s. Asked my son about my first unknown sound while walking and he said you’re wearing corduroy pants. 😬
+they really can do math.
Absolutely agree. I advise a student group that puts on day-long math camps for kids to help reduce math stigma. We provide fun activities like an 8'x 8' multiplication table battleship game, math sign yoga, and math Jenga with pieces made from 2x4s. It's great to see kids faces when+
Seriously? Ugh. So sorry you experienced that.
Your math skills aren’t bad. I’m sending the pic to our math ed prof as a great non-example of a well written prompt. Good fodder for future math teachers.
Yeah, 47 is a prime number, so there can't be an equal number at every table.
He's also a CU Boulder grad.

Please read the entire thread. Words matter.
“Fascism” isn’t a slur for politics we don’t like. It’s a precise word with precise meaning. And in the face of what’s happening right now in America, it’s the most honest one we have.

I’ll lay it out as plainly as I can. 🧵

⚠️TYLENOL & AUTISM—RFK Jr & Trump are wrong—the largest best study in the world in 2.5 MILLION KIDS—found no increased autism risk with acetaminophen (aka paracetamol/Tylenol). A crude analysis found only a tiny 5% risk, but once you adjust via sibling controls, the even tiny 5% risk vaporizes to 0%📉
I'm one of his constituents. Could someone point me to these reports so I can accurately refute his claim when I contact his office?
