Her denial and deflection are the biggest tell — this Administration is hiding something, and the American people deserve to know what it is. Why are they protecting a pedophile when they should be protecting the American people?

Bondi said a lot of words yesterday, but it was what she DIDN'T say that spoke volumes — she didn’t say she’d release the Epstein files, and she didn’t say Trump is not in the Epstein files. 🧵

Republicans could end this shutdown TODAY. I’m here in Washington to work for you — where are they?
scholten.house.gov
Republicans can end this government shutdown TODAY by extending ACA tax credits. 78% of the American people support it — that’s who we work for. Let’s get it done.

Republicans could open the Government TODAY with this one, very essential, commonsense provision that 78% of Americans approve of.

In this political climate, it’s pretty tough to get the majority of Americans to agree on ANYTHING. Well, here you have it, folks.

78% of Americans support extending the enhanced ACA tax credits and providing much-needed relief for our neighbors struggling to afford health care.

We remember so we will not allow the horrors of the past to be repeated. We remember so that we can continue to work towards shared peace in this region for Israelis and Palestinians alike.

Today, we remember the horrors of the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel on October 7th. We remember the lives that were lost, we remember the communities that were changed forever by that violence and bloodshed, and we remember the hostages who remain in captivity.

The EPA is absolutely essential in its work to protect and preserve our precious natural environment. However, the government shutdown has forced them to operate at a bare-bones level, and it’s going to be devastating for our environment.

Let’s talk about the facts behind this government shutdown:

1. Democrats DIDN’T shut down the government.
2. Democrats have never proposed to give health care to undocumented immigrants.
3. We don’t have time to wait to act, because costs are already skyrocketing for millions of Americans.

To add to the list of egregious government shutdown-related concerns, it’s been brought to my attention that websites of many Inspectors General (offices specifically targeted to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in our government) are BLANK. Nowhere to be found — not even in archive form.
Inspector general websites disappear as government shuts down - Roll Call
Some inspector general websites were down across the federal government on the first day of the partial government shutdown Wednesday.

Make no mistake: health care costs are going to SKYROCKET under the Republicans’ plan, and the government shutdown is only making things worse.

Your family could be burdened with thousands of dollars in extra costs thanks to their reckless governance.

I came to Washington to demand good governance for the American people. These are YOUR TAX DOLLARS at work to spread political propaganda. It’s the furthest thing from good governance, and likely illegal.

I remain committed to working for the American people.

When the President proposed tariffs on pharmaceuticals, building materials, and certain trucks, I pushed back on behalf of everyday Americans.

The Lowering Costs Caucus wrote a letter to Sec. Lutnik to reconsider these tariffs, and we got results. Read more below.

Trump threatened 100 percent tariffs on certain brand-name drugs last week. The administration is using the threat to secure drug pricing deals with major pharma companies.

More than 40,000 Coasties are working without the certainty of pay for the duration of this government shutdown. My bill, the Pay Our Coast Guard Parity Act, would ensure that they receive pay on time, as members of other branches of the military do when funding lapses.

Q: Why is the government shut down?

A: Trump and House Republicans refuse to give AN INCH on making healthcare more affordable for the American people.
scholten.house.gov
As American families begin to plan and budget for 2026, many can expect their health care premiums to more than DOUBLE. Republicans can fix that TODAY and re-open the government. That’s not finger pointing. That’s fact-checking.

They’d rather shut down the government and take a vacation than give hardworking Americans tax breaks for health care. Think about that.
scholten.house.gov
Let’s think back to July: House Republicans rushed a vote on the so-called “Big, Beautiful Bill” to deliver tax breaks and corporate welfare to their billionaire buddies to the tune of $700/day.

Now, when the health and livelihood of hardworking, everyday Americans are on the line, they say no way.
