Right now, aside from all the pending threat of enshittification, my main gripes with affinity v3 are:
- the new parts of the UI are half-baked (the top bar and the new New document window)
- lack of scripting, even just for automating the stuff you can already do in the UI
- the new parts of the UI are half-baked (the top bar and the new New document window)

my phone needed last minute ship of theseus so now it has a Unique finish of Green?? with "beige?" rails

i def will have to dive in if much changed once i have the time, because working with linked images is pretty much the core of my compositing workflow so if they did something (i already know they moved resource manager to a different menu) i will be

question which one of the v1s were you using the most
i used adobe before, and the affinity app that felt the weirdest was always affinity photo, as it did have (v2 as well honestly) some really weird ux especially related to how it treated images vs raster layers etc

but that still leaves the potential mess in the future especially if they decide to go public etc
