CMLL is on another level this year. This all womens show has shown how strong that division has gotten in the last year.
this reminds me of a time in college (where I didn't know anybody and was kind of depressed) and this student came up to me and started chatting. we had a good convo and exchanged numbers to hang out. a couple days later he calls me and tries to get me into some fitness MLM scheme. was so sad after
Mistico vs. MJF was once in a lifetime. A transcendental match at the hottest promotion in the world's biggest show of the year. I'm not sure I've ever seen two guys have the crowd in the palm of their hands quite like this. #92AniversarioCMLL
My biggest issue with conversation about tonight's TNA show is the hand-waving away of legitimate criticism with "well it's making money!" Numbers are fun to look at, but drawing power is not a defense of subjective quality. 2 years in a row where a babyface challenger should've won and they waited.
A lot of great matches to talk about from June! This month's article features matches from CMLL, Stardom, NJPW and AEW!

What were your favorites last month?

Yeah, if that’s something they aspire to, sure. But I feel like we’re getting to the point now where we can’t just assume that’s the end goal for everyone
As AEW continues to exist I hope we get rid of this “wrestlers NEED a WrestleMania moment” narrative.

AEW has done a good job, especially in 2025, of creating unique experiences for their wrestlers.

It’s not just All In, either. You can work Arena Mexico, the Tokyo Dome, etc
On The D'Amore Drop, Scott D'Amore thinks that The Young Bucks could leave AEW and have a WWE WrestleMania moment.
I recently made it a goal to expose myself to better wrestling discourse. Inspired by this I wrote up a list of 5 creators that celebrate the best of wrestling (but also don’t shy away from thoughtful criticism)

Feel free to drop your favs in the replies!

It’s been a great year. Wrote up my front runners for yearly awards at this point, including Wrestler and Match of the Year, amongst others. Wrestlers and matches from across the globe, including AEW, CMLL, Stardom, NJPW and WWE, are featured.

Check it out and let me know what your picks are!

Wrestling is still, in fact, good

ICYMI, I wrote about how Hangman’s story - and its focus on empathy and growth - has been so refreshing in an industry that often does storytelling by the numbers. #AEW
Still over the moon after #AEW All In, so I wrote some words on @hangmanpage.bsky.social's arc, and why it has felt so distinct and important. Wrestling is awesome.
Hangman Adam Page Forever
In which AEW's hero overcomes adversity through empathy

The Pure Rules format is one of my favorite non-traditional match types. Some might say that it's simply a showcase of technical wrestling, and that is true but it isn't the whole picture. It requires working within the rules, understanding the limitations and creatively pushing the boundaries.
Wrote this article a 4 months back and Lee Moriarty's creativity, especially with the ropes, was on full display again tonight. With Blue Panther's rope breaks exhausted, Moriarty used the ropes to make his match-ending submission more effective.
A no doubt about it, potential match of the year classic from Bandido and Takeshita. Both of these guys are next level and both are barely into their 30s. Wrestling fans are so lucky to be able to watch these two. #ROHSupercard
That Swerve/Hangman sit down segment was one of the best things #AEW has ever done. Two men who have gone through hell together, deciding to talk things out and move forward rather than letting the resentment continue. It's not often you see wrestlers attempt legitimate growth like that.
Swerve Strickland handing Hangman the chain on Saturday is going to hit so hard man #AEW
If you don't normally watch #AEW Collision, I'd recommend tuning in tonight to check out FTR vs. Outrunners. Not sure how it'll play on TV but in the arena it was one of my favorite tag matches of the year so far.
It's a stark contrast between this and the WWE/AAA Worlds Collide show, in which a wrestler came out before the show to say thanks to WWE for giving the "seal of authenticity" to lucha libre - a style that has been around for far longer than WWF ever existed.
Last night's #AEW Dynamite was one of the best TV episodes this year. Preceded by the CMLL vs. AEW show the night before, it hasn't just been a fantastic week of in-ring action. It's a celebration of collaboration and the coming together of different cultures.
CMLL vs. AEW and ROH was one of the best shows I've seen all year, with a main event that will make MOTY lists in Bandido vs. Mascara Dorada. A fantastic celebration of wrestling and the spirit of interpromotional competition and collaboration. #CMLL
