You can turn them on on a "per site" basis to allow only our website to send you notifications, we don't host any ads on our site.

Alternatively, leave website notifications off and out for Telegram notifications instead. Or you can even just rely on email notifications. Your choice!

We're really excited to introduce this system to you and hope it will save many hours in the queue! We hope to bring many more enhancements to the system in future years and will be guided by the feedback you leave us in our post-con survey.

For essential information and instructions on how to use the system and what to expect, including what to do if you don't have a smartphone, read our guide here: static.scotiacon.org.uk/docs/2026-Vi...

The virtual queue will allow you to enter the Den queue on your smartphone and notify you when your turn to enter has arrived. You'll have 30 minutes after that notification to head to the Den and enter, but you can spend as much time as you want inside.
February 3, 2026 at 6:20 PM
Hey folks! Do you love queueing? We don't either! Many of you spend hours of your convention queued to get into the Den and with this year promising to be our biggest event ever, we knew we had to do something about that. So, new for 2026 we're introducing the Den Virtual Queue!

Wherever you are in the world, if you can't be with us in person, we hope you'll enjoy tuning in and joining us for some of our most popular events at what we hope will be our biggest hoedown ever!

Our condolences to all who are affected by the loss of Neutron. While it is inevitable that we lose members of our community over time, their memory lives on within all of us and the impact they have echoes on through our fandom in innumerable ways.

Rest in peace doggo. πŸ’™πŸ§‘

We sincerely hope that some of our attendees will take this as an opportunity to find some form of closure and wanted to be clear to everyone in advance that this would be happening to prevent anyone being caught off guard by the appearance of Neutron's suit at our convention.
January 30, 2026 at 6:01 PM
We want to let you know that Pyro, Neutron's bereaved partner, will bring Neutron's fursuit to Scotiacon and wear it around the Crowne on Saturday from 14:30 to 16:30. This is intended as a memorial to Neutron and to allow those affected by his passing a chance to say goodbye.
January 30, 2026 at 6:01 PM
Hey friends. One of the hallmarks of our community is the way in which it comes together in times of grief. A few months ago, we very suddenly lost Neutron, a well known member of the fandom. Β This loss affected a number of us deeply and we grieve alongside all of you.

Please note that these tickets are supplied by Scotrail and we are not involved in their distribution, so we will be unable to assist with any issues encountered in purchasing the tickets. However, as far as we have been able to ascertain, attendees should be able to buy them.
January 28, 2026 at 8:17 PM
We would suggest you take both your e-ticket and the photo ID you will use to register with us when purchasing a ticket from the station so that you are able to prove your identity and attendance at the convention.
January 28, 2026 at 8:17 PM
We've updated the e-tickets that will be sent out in the coming days to include details of the convention and your legal name, which we have been told should be enough for attendees to purchase the tickets. These details are only on the e-ticket and won't appear on your conbadge.
January 28, 2026 at 8:17 PM
Accessing these tickets historically has been an issue for us as our conbadges don't display your legal name or (in most cases) show your photograph. However, we have been in touch with the Glasgow Convention Bureau who have contacted Scotrail on our behalf to enquire about this.
