Therionyms & Therioilleism a zine about animal identity by hale (but you can call us wolves) Are you an animal? Do you think of yourself as a creature? Do you call yourself a beast? Names have two aspects: external identifiers which are used by others and internal identifiers which you use to refer to yourself. Congurency between the two­­ - when others think of you in the same way you think of yourself - is empowering. Wolf, coyote, tiger, elk, fox, doe. Do any of these words >feel< like you? Do your ears prick up when you hear them spoken? (Yes, we can see your ears) You are already accepting an animal name as your own. A therionym. Ask the critters around you to call you by your animal name. Feel acknowledgem-ent spread over your pelt like warm sunlight. You are being Seen. Through this, and every moment just like this your true nature is being Observed. Likewise, by using your packmember's therionyms you hypostatize their animal forms. A feedback loop will grow between you. This is a kind of power even humans take notice of. The invisible threads of our reality, our context, are made plainly audible. It is up to you whether your therionym is a nick-name, a parallel truename, or even becomes part of a legal name. We were barely able to afford rent, but at the cost of bills piling up. Apparently due today, we were misinformed.

A fun little #Tamberlane thing Ari and I put together recently! We're super proud of this piece :D
A pastiche of the album cover for the Gorillaz Demon Days album, but with Tamberlane characters instead! It features Cur, Jonas, Piper, and Kira as Murdoc, 2-D, Noodle, and Russel. The band name has been changed to Bulliez, and the album title to "Schemin' Days." The album is black with a 2x2 grid of white squares, each featuring a band member facing to the right but looking toward the camera. Each band member has a particular color scheme. The style is a bit gritty, imitating the original cover, but still has plenty of my own style in it. Cur, a jackal jerboa hybrid, wears a tall-collared purple coat and a sullen glare. He frowns, sporting a bit of a subtle black eye and some bruising on his face. His color scheme is sort of a magenta-y purple, though since he's a naturally yellow character, it comes off as more orange. Jonas, a raccoon, wears a red plaid flat cap, a dark red scarf, and a green coat. He has a sucker in his mouth in place of a cigarette, and he frowns thoughtfully. His color scheme is yellow. Piper, a tortoiseshell cat, is smiling slyly. She wears a beret with a fluffy top, a collar with a big bell, and a sweater. She's also got a little bit of teal eyeliner, reflecting her color scheme of teal/blue. Finally, Kira occupies the last spot. She's a fluffy purple highland cow/alligator/dog mix, and she's glaring heavily. She wears a billed cap backwards, though she's ripped through the top of it with her horn. Her color scheme is purple.
